Maverick’s early love for basketball has naturally led him to be passionate about rehabilitation. After playing basketball in the US, he attained a degree in Bachelor of Science (Biomedicine and Exercise Science) whilst working with athletes as a strength and conditioning coach. Soon after completing his undergraduate degree, Maverick felt that he wanted to gain more knowledge and so he went on to complete his Masters in Physiotherapy at La Trobe University.
Having worked closely with basketball athletes from the NBA, NBL, NCAA, NBL1, and VJBL, sports therapy and rehabilitation is Maverick’s expertise. His strong foundations in high performance training provides the cutting edge to his rehabilitation modalities – being able to return individuals from injury back to play with added physical prowess and tenacity. Maverick has consistently proven that injury is not a hindrance, but rather, an opportunity for significant improvement when proper guidance is paired with a relentless mindset. Maverick is able to seamlessly unite high performance training with proactive rehabilitation bringing an unprecedented arsenal of skills to rehabilitation at Point Cook Physiotherapy.
Outside of work, Maverick still plays basketball and maintains a meticulous workout regime in the gym. During his down time Maverick enjoys surfing. When not in Australia, he is probably in Hawaii surfing and relaxing.
