Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) are highly qualified exercise professionals that are university qualified. AEP’s specialise in the prescription and delivery of clinical exercise and lifestyle modification programs. They possess the knowledge, skills and competency to work with people with chronic and complex diseases, people with injuries and people who are apparently healthy.
AEPs must adhere to strict criteria in order to maintain accreditation and stay up to date with current research in the field.

What is the difference between Exercise physiology and Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapists use various treatments such as joint mobilisation and manipulation, massage, electrotherapy, acupuncture, therapeutic exercise and hydrotherapy. There are main types of Physiotherapy. Musculoskeletal treats muscles, bones and joints such as back pain, arthritis, workplace, sporting injuries and post orthopeadic surgery. Cardiothoracic to treat disorders of the cardio-respiratory system including asthma, COPD, emphysema as well as rehabilitation after thoracic surgery.
