Dry needling is a technique using acupuncture needles to reduce the muscle tightness and spasm. It involves tapping in a very fine needle into specific points within the affected area to elicit a muscle contraction.

This contraction can occur spontaneously or can be achieved by pistoning the needle or by adding an electrical current to the end of the needle.

The contraction encourages the muscle to release the spasm or tension thereby reducing pain and decreasing muscle tightness.

Our highly trained physiotherapist use dry needling techniques to treat a variety of problems.
